Professional Certification Agency (LSP-P1) of Pontianak State Polytechnic has conducted Recognition Current Competency (RCC) for lecturers. “This training aims to renew the license of our assessors which will be expired soon,” said the Chair of LSP-P1 Polnep Muflihah Ramadhia. She reported that current event attended by 22 assessors coming from 8 departments in Polnep. RCC is a routine activity conducted by LSP-P1 which aims to renew assessors’ license certificate.

The training was officially opened by Deputy Director I of Polnep Slamet Tarno. On that occasion, Slamet expected all participants to fully attend the program and pass the test. He continued saying that it was important for students to have additional certificates of competence following their graduation which formally issued by a national-certified agency.

Moreover, he said that this RCC training is that necessary for graduates since it is integrated into curriculum. Participant are also expected to improve their understanding regarding policy on competence certification system, activity planning, assessment process, and contribution on competence assessment scheme. It is also hoped that assessors are able to improve their competence and develop their capacity through the training.

The training featured two master assessors from Indonesian Professional Certification Authority (BNSP) Nes Yandri Kahar and Winarti Zainoeddin as the keynote speakers. The event itself was conducted from 17 to 18 May 2022 at Mercure Hotel Pontianak.
