Meaning of Logo/Symbol

The symbol/logo of State Polytechnic of Pontianak (POLNEP) expresses the following:

·           Equatorial monument in black at the center of the logo represents the nature of the city of Pontianak in West Kalimantan Province, as the city that sits right on the Equator invisible line (Equatorial City).

·           Arrow sign in red heading to the right side at the center of the logo symbolizes the global vision of POLNEP.

·           Gearwheel in grey reflects hard work / hardworking human resources.

·           Water droplets are arranged in golden yellow wing-shaped symbolize prosperity.

·           Twelve water droplets on the right and twelve water droplets on the left represent the balance and accuracy in time, size, and rules.

·           Pentagon frame in black which encircles the whole logo symbolizes 5 principles in Indonesia’s national ideology Pancasila.

·           Word “POLNEP” below the center of the logo shows the abbreviation of State Polytechnic of Pontianak.

Sky blue as the base color of the logo reflects the vastness and height of science and knowledge that must be pursued.
