Department of Agricultural Technology Pontianak State Polytechnic (Polnep) held a judicium ceremony for its two study programs: D4 on Plantation Crops Cultivation and D4 on Plantation Management on Thursday (14/9/2023) which took place at Golden Tulip Hotel Pontianak. The ceremony went lively and attended by board of Polnep management, lecturers, educational staff, 111 prospective graduates, parents of outstanding students, and other guests. This year’s prospective graduates of Agricultural Technology Department consisted of 54 students of Plantation Crops Cultivation Study Program and 57 students of Plantation Management Study Program.
In his welcoming remarks, the Head of Agricultural Technology Department Desdy Hendra Gunawan delivered four messages to his prospective graduates: always remember your alma mater, do not rush to propose for a wedding, go find a job immediately to make your parents happy, and if you want to be successful you must treat your parents like a king and a queen.
Deputy Director for Cooperation Topan Prihantoro attended the event on behalf of Director of Polnep as well as officially opened it. In his welcoming remarks, he told the prospective graduates to keep improving their competence, create collaboration with various stake holders, and actively involved in coping agricultural challenges in the future. Moreover, he added saying to constantly uphold values of integrity, ethics, responsibility for all decisions you made. “You are all agents of change who would make positive impact for both society and environment,” Topan Prihantoro said.
Average GPA for 2023 Diploma 4 on Plantation Crops Cultivation graduates is at 3.60. Imelda Hutasoit was the graduate with perfect GPA of 4.0 with the predicate of praise. The second place was achieved by Rani Safitri Wulandari with GPA of 3.93 with the predicate of praise. The third place was held by Mardoyo with GPA of 3.91 with the predicate of praise.
Meanwhile, the average GPA for 2023 Diploma 4 on Plantation Management graduates is at 3.56. The highest GPA achieved by Mishbahul Anwar with GPA of 3.94 and the predicate of praise. The second place was held by Sutiye with GPA of 3.90 and the predicate of praise. Followed by the third place who was achieved by Rini Novianti with GPA of 3.87 and the predicate of praise.
For the final session, the announcement for outstanding graduates was conducted. It was a form of appreciation for graduates who scored achievement either in local or national level.
