The achievement of being the runner-up is the result of training and supervision done by each branch of sport. “Our students have shown their best performance and this is ultimately an honor for us all,” said Dede Irwan Deputy Director III of Polnep during an interviewed in his office.
In addition, he said that Polnep athletes had been encouraged to win the competition right from the beginning. “As an athlete, it is not only a matter of how many medals you can achieve, it is more about how high your achievement is. That is the key point,” he added.
Furthermore, Dede Irwan explained that during his office as Deputy Director III of Polnep he had opened widely admission scheme for students with outstanding achievement in sports to study in Pontianak State Polytechnic test-free and free to choose course program they like. “We even provide them with scholarships if they come from poor families,” he added. “All efforts have paid off, Praise be to Allah,” he said.
Previously, Polnep was on top 5 in the previous Porseni which conducted in Manado. Based on that achievement, Director of Polnep H. Gratefully, Polnep team was able to reach higher than what was targeted. “Hopefully, we can do better in the next event with full support from all communities in Polnep,” said Dede Irwan to conclude the interview.
