TRAINING OF COMPETENCE ASSESSOR FOR LECTURERS

Pontianak State Polytechnic conducted Competence Assessor (ASKOM) Training for lecturers. The event which officially opened by Deputy Director I Slamet Tarno, held from 27 June until 2 July 2022.
In his welcoming remarks, he said how significant the role of assessors in determining whether the graduates are competent or incompetent. “Pontianak State Polytechnic has strong commitment to produce graduates who are competent at their fields and the competence assessors play a big role in this matter,” Slamet Tarno remarked.
He continued advising the participants to be active during the training. “The master assessor is ready to assist all participants here to become qualified assessors,” he added. He also said that assessors were essential to determine the success of Independent Campus, Freedom to Learn (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka).
“Being a lecturer is not easy since it is a profession with lots of responsibilities yet challenging,” he said. At the end of his welcoming remarks, Slamet Tarno expressed his hope that participants do their best during the training and make great results from it.
