Pontianak State Polytechnic (Polnep) and Informatics Professional Certification Body collaborated to organize a Certification of Skills for Diploma 3 Students on Informatics Engineering Study Program of Electrical Engineering Department. The event was officially opened on Wednesday (22/01) at the TRSE laboratory building with the singing of the National Anthem Indonesia Raya (Great Indonesia).

The certification process took place over two days, from the 22nd to the 23rd of January 2025. The activity aimed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need when starting to work. In addition, students are expected to have measurable and nationally and internationally recognized competencies as the competitiveness in the world of work increases.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Director for Academic Affairs and Planning H. Irawan Suharto, S.T., M.T., who hoped all participants well and success in the test. The Head of Electrical Engineering Department Hasan, S.T., M.T. also attended the event. He had the same expectation that all students who took the test would be successful and got the title of competent and skillful. 

The competence certification was attended by 120 students of Informatics Engineering, involved six internal assessors, and consisted of four schemes, namely Junior Graphic Competence; Junior Web Developer Competence; Junior Network Competence; and Database Competence. The scheme of competence test is a framework used as a measure of an individual’s ability to perform a specific job or task.
